I an Engineering Manager by practice. I care deeply about the people I work with, the product I am building and how it impacts the lives of users. I care about technology. I believe in systems thinking - and that people should be a factor when thinking about systems. I believe that technology is a means to an end, not the end itself. Balanced empathy is important to me - balanced towards users, colleagues and the business. I believe and practice iterative development. I have successfully operated teams with a culture of co-creation & continuous refactoring. I believe in people & interactions over processes & tools. Practitioner of no-estimates - yes, my teams have delivered quality software within agreed upon timelines without estimates :). It is possible. On the engineering side, my interests lie in techno-social systems, software engineering, evolutionary architecture and distributed systems.
