I am a PhD student in Sociology at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Previously, I have finished my MSc in Social and Cultural Theory at the University of Bristol where I worked on homosexual identity formation as a part of my dissertation.
In addition, I have worked as a Research Advisor at the Center for Regional Research and Sustainability Studies where I co-authored a paper on sexual violence in Kashmir with another intern and taught her research writing skills.
I also teach undergraduate students at the Victoria University of Wellington training them in research writing and referencing.
Furthermore, I have worked with Human Development Research Initiative, a think tank based at Sciences Po, Paris where I published reports on the barriers of transgender people in getting employed in India.
All my publications can be viewed at swakshadipsarkar.academia.edu/research. I am trained in qualitative research and with knowledge of data collection methods, interviewing methods, ethnographic methods and data analysis techniques.
