About me
Hi, I'm Sushmith Thuluva, a graduate student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in Deep Learning and Computer Vision. I am passionate about applying artificial intelligence and robotics to optimize technology for daily use, and I am looking for full-time roles in 2024 and spring 2024 internships in Embedded Systems, AI/ML.
I have recently completed a cutting-edge project on human pose tracking and animation in Unity at CyLab, where I evaluated and integrated multiple human pose detection frameworks, leveraged Open3D to process 3D point clouds, and utilized the Microsoft Azure Kinect depth camera. Previously, I collaborated on the Computational Nanosatellite development project, where I assembled, programmed, and tested custom PCBs for various subsystems of a Nanosatellite. As an undergraduate, I initiated and led Team S.T.A.R.D.U.S.T, a student satellite team focused on space-related projects, such as CanSats, model rockets, and microgravity experiments. I am proficient in Visual SLAM, Reinforcement Learning, and Computer Vision, and I am interested in exploring Multimodal AI and Biomedical Engineering.
