I started my career as a software developer in 2013 when I finished my Masters degree in computer science from US. I was the first one to land a job in my batch so was quite happy at the time. Being one year in the corporate job, I realised it was a lonely space to work as a solo developer and write few lines of code a day. That's when I decided, I wanted to pursue something else and came across Product management. I connected with a lot of experts land successful professionals in thus field and start having organic conversations about products rather than reading a lot of books. This helped me understand how product managers think and what makes them successful at what they do. I did lots of experiments with my resume tweaking it with case studies and job relevant requirements. Through my organic connections, I became good friends with founders and product leads who provided me a first opportunity when there was a position open in their firms. That's how I moved up the ladder with 6 job changes in 10 years and now consult with various tech startups for product and technology consulting and fundraising. This is my story.
