I've spent 18+ years building software, working across engineering, data platforms, analytics, data science, distributed systems, and fintech products - first as an Individual Contributor and Principal Engineer, and then leading multiple high performance AI-first Engineering teams as an Engineering leader. I've been on both sides of the transition from being the person who solves the hardest technical problems to being the person responsible for empowering and leading a team solve them. As an Engineering leader, I not only contribute to technical excellence and business impact but lead and own end to end responsibility of the Software product that includes - building the technical team, managing stakeholders, handling difficult conversations, hiring, performance review and helping engineers succeed.
