As a data science professional (AI/ML Engineer) with over 12 years of experience in various industries, including finance and digital marketing, I have had the opportunity to work on fascinating projects that have made a significant impact. I began my career as a MIS Specialist with NTPC and have since honed my skills in data analysis and visualization, project management, and business strategy. However, it was not until I discovered the world of data science that I realized my true calling. My journey in data science began in 2016 when I worked on a project for a financial services firm. I was tasked with developing predictive models to help the company understand market trends and make informed investment decisions. With the use of advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms, we helped the company achieve higher returns on their investments and reduce risk across their client's portfolio. Since then, I have worked with companies from various domains, including finance, digital marketing, e-commerce, contact centers, insurance, and retail, leveraging my skills in data analysis and visualization to help them make better decisions and improve their bottom line. One of my most memorable projects involved working with a leading e-commerce company to enhance their customer support strategy, which resulted in a 18% increase in customer retention. However, what I find most rewarding about my work is mentoring and training aspiring data scientists. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with talented individuals, helping them develop their skills and achieve their goals. My approach to becoming an expert data scientist has been a combination of self-learning, practice, certification, and mentorship. Starting at the beginner level, I focused on gathering information from open-source platforms to gain knowledge about data analysis and data science. Then, I applied my self-learning in practice by working on real-life business problems at the intermediate level. Pursuing well-structured online certifications helped me gain advanced knowledge in my areas of interest and allowed me to specialize in certain aspects of data science relevant to my work. After years of experience, I began sharing my knowledge and expertise through various platforms as a mentor and trainer. Writing blogs and articles has allowed me to solidify my own understanding of the field while helping others succeed in their careers. Looking back on my journey so far, I am proud of my accomplishments as a data science practitioner.
