About me

What happens in therapy beyond techniques, theories, and textbook interventions? That question sits at the heart of my work. Over the past 10 years, in my work as an Assistant Professor of Psychology and as a Psychotherapist across clinical, academic, and organisational settings, one thing has become increasingly clear to me. While formal training gives us theories, frameworks, and techniques, it often does not fully prepare us for the emotional, relational, and deeply human realities of being in the therapy room. Curious by nature, I started exploring the deeper and often underexplored aspects of therapeutic work: the therapist’s emotional presence, the relational space between therapist and client, nervous system regulation, self-awareness, countertransference, authenticity, and the human experience of sitting with another person’s experience. As I continued practicing, reflecting, and learning, I realized that these dimensions were not secondary to therapy; they were central to it. I now deeply enjoy creating reflective learning spaces for psychology students, aspiring therapists, and practicing professionals who want to explore therapy beyond textbook interventions and develop a more grounded, authentic, and emotionally congruent practice. My work is rooted in the belief that meaningful therapeutic practice is not built only through techniques, but also through reflection, depth, relational presence, and the development of one’s own therapeutic voice in the therapy room.
