I recently attended Suba's Advanced Conflict Management course, which was an incredibly insightful session. I gained numerous takeaways from it. One key learning was how to remain emotionally unaffected during conflicts and to understand that no issue is too small or too big. I now grasp the true meaning of conflict and the importance of addressing it rather than avoiding it, as unresolved conflicts can pile up over time. The session emphasized the significance of the happiness quotient and the importance of self-reflection, such as examining one's emotions and understanding their roots. We delved into the concepts of inaction, quick action, slow action, and no action, highlighting the need to be mindful of ego and biases. I also learned how procrastination can either diffuse or exacerbate anger and the importance of avoiding guilt or fear in challenging situations. A fascinating new insight was that humans can experience up to 34,000 emotions, and processing these emotions effectively is crucial. The session also shed light on the importance of personal branding and adopting a mindset that acknowledges others as potentially smarter, fostering humility and growth. Communication, connection, and conviction were emphasized as essential pillars for managing conflicts effectively. These are the key learnings I took from this enriching experience.
