My post-grad journey began in data as a Teradata consultant. Teradata is a database that is designed with Massively Parallel Processing(MPP) architecture including on-premise, cloud, and hybrid implementations. In addition, I received a solid foundation in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS). I went on to work for their technology agnostic division. There I worked with an amazing team that valued adaptability and operated with the idea that one consultant given enough time could complete a project for a client by themselves. We were and are a team of X-Men. I have held roles as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Consultant and Tableau Developer, and these experiences allowed me to see some gaps in the space between data and utilizing data in company products. But I wanted to do more. I wanted to create products using the data. So I decided to focus on honing my Software Engineering skills.
