I acquired these technical skills mentioned in my profile for one goal - to solve as many problems as possible. Tougher problems help me gain more skills - I love this circle. I am strong engineering professional with demonstrated working history in Software Development and an ongoing Masters in IT, a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing and a Bachelors of Engineering in Electronics. I worked as a Software Engineer at Smartstream Technologies for Exception Management Team (EMS). It was a solution meant to handle exceptions raised in other products. Understanding requirements and building our solution gave me myriad opportunities for problem-solving and applying logic to implement complex business scenarios. I learned various software development skills which transformed me from a fresher to a resilient Software developer. By the end of my tenure, the product was already helping two solutions. While working as an Engineer in Here Technologies, I was understanding clients requirements, adding enhancements to huge masses facing software called Map creator. It was a great learning experience and exposure to the Mapping domain. Then I worked for BNP Paribas for almost two years on a contract for their product ECB. Along with software development, I understood the importance of Cyber Security in a banking domain. It also gave me an opportunity to re-engineer old software to a new one. Currently, I am working as a Software Engineer under Dr. Ann Loraine in the Department of Bioinformatics and Genomics, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am solving challenges faced by Scientists. At present, I am integrating CyVerse APIs with the Integrated Genome Browser. In the future, I see myself leading a team in the fields of Software development and design, Data Mining and Analysis.
