One day in early Jun 2014, I went to work in Dallas, TX not knowing that I would be back home by noon without a job as my H1B visa was not picked up in the lottery. In no time, I made the decision to move back to India and pursue opportunities in product management. After moving to India, I was completely clueless about how I would go about with looking for right companies. Since the start-up scene was exploding at that time, the chances of picking a wrong company were high and I did err early on in choosing a wrong company. In short, it was a struggle to find a right opportunity at a right place. Cut to 2024, I consider myself to be lucky to be at the place I'm in currently. Having first hand experienced the pain of moving back to India and having to navigate through the uncertainties associated with job search, interviewing, adjusting with the work culture etc, I want to help whoever is keen to move back to India and rebuild a successful product management career.
