Srijeet Mukherjee is a development sector professional and language teacher based out of New Delhi, India. He holds a certificate in Public Policy from the Indian School of Public Policy, a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and a Master's Degree in Linguistics from the University of Calcutta. Srijeet is passionate about education and has supported state governments of Delhi, Assam, Haryana and Odisha by developing material and conducting trainings and assessments for transforming education at scale in India. Currently, as Senior Manager, Teaching and Learning at Reach to Teach, he continues to work on implementing the National Education Policy 2020 in Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Srijeet is also currently a Designated Campus Colleague with the University of Arizona, Centre for Educational Resources on Culture, Language and Literacy where he works on a project on less commonly taught languages funded by the U.S. Department of Education. In 2017, Srijeet received the Fulbright FLTA scholarship to teach Hindi at the University of Montana. There he was a primary instructor for the elementary, intermediate and advance levels. A proud torchbearer of Indian culture, Srijeet mentored two students who won prestigious language scholarships to India. He is a guest lecturer at the National Security Language Institute for Youth where he delivers talks about Hindi language and Indian culture. He has also co-authored the Beginner's Hindi textbook for the University of California, Davis. In his previous avatar, Srijeet managed a team that created psychometric assessments for L&D functions at Harappa Education. This responsibility enabled him to develop skills in project management, cross-functional collaboration, efficient work allocation and maintaining timelines. Being in a start-up, Srijeet developed capacity to be agile and ace his tasks in an ambiguous work environment. In the past, Srijeet has managed multiple bilingual dictionary projects for Oxford University Press and has also edited digital content for English Language Teaching for the school division.
