I can proudly say I failed in my first EB1A attempt. But I didn’t give up. And succeeded in my second attempt, without a RFE. So why does it make me better placed to advise others?

For the simple reason that USCIS does not tell you what you did right on a successful petition, but definitely points out the gaps in an unsuccessful one. Therefore, you can learn from my mistakes and hopefully, achieve success on your first attempt.

I do not guarantee success. Benjamin Franklin famously commented on the certainty of death and taxes, but USCIS decisions are far removed from that. What I guarantee is informed advice to enhance your profile to showcase yourself as an “alien of extraordinary ability”.

I’m not an attorney; my advice does not replace legal opinion. Irrespective of whether we work together, you should absolutely work with an experienced immigration attorney. But then, why should you pay twice for advice? Well, your attorney specializes in immigration law, not in helping build a profile over time that meets the extremely high standards for the “Einstein visa”*.

I will offer profile-building advice only in the field I’m comfortable with – cybersecurity. I’ll show you what I did wrong, and how I addressed those gaps and ended up hitting 8 of 10 requirements (2 can be met only by performing artists via shows or album sales, etc.). I’ll share my strategies to get invited to speak at conferences, to be cited in major media and judge others’ work. You’ll learn from my experiences in showcasing my employment as a “critical employee” and commanding a “high salary”. And if you have a long way to go to be EB1A-ready, I’ll let you know.
