Souparno is a student of the 50th MBA batch of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He scored 99.96 percentile in CAT 2022 and 99.95 percentile in XAT 2023. Prior to joining IIM-B, he was working at Deutsche Bank as a Senior Analyst where he worked on onboarding Document AI to the bank and making it available as a shared service. He also won the India Excellence Award 2022 for his outstanding contribution to the Deutsche Bank Group. Souparno obtained his B.Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology, Shibpur majoring in Computer Science & Technology. His department rank was 4 and his institute rank was 8 as he graduated with a CGPA of 9.51. He also stood first in his first year, winning a merit scholarship, and was also one of the ~25 students who were allowed to change their departments at the end of the first year. During his second year, he interned at Vision Empower, where he learned more about accessibility and how technology can be used to promote STEM education among the low-visioned and the blind. Before joining IIEST Shibpur, Souparno completed his 10th and 12th from South Point High School. His hobbies include exploring different food joints and mentoring students about CAT, XAT, AI, NLP and career choices.
