About me

I am currently an MBA student at IIM Ahmedabad. I come from a tier-3 engineering college and a first-generation MBA background, so I had to figure out most of this process on my own. I focused on honest, well-thought-out answers and clear communication, despite people advising me to fabricate some of the answers, and I was able to convert top schools like the top IIMs, FMS, XLRI, and IIFT. One thing I learned through this journey is that while your profile does matter a lot, it is rarely the sole deciding factor in an interview. What really makes a difference is how you explain your journey, the choices you made under pressure, the constraints you worked with, and the way you think through problems. The panel is not just judging where you come from, but how you make sense of it. Over the past months, I have gotten DMs from many aspirants who feel stuck because they think their profile is not “good enough.” In most cases, the real gap is not in their background but in how they present their story and how clearly they communicate their thinking. If you want guidance from someone who has just been through the same process and understands these pressures, this should be useful.
