Somesh Mohapatra, a keen researcher with an entrepreneurial mindset, recently defended his PhD on designing macromolecules using machine learning and simulations, and working towards an MBA in operations at MIT. During his time at MIT, he co-founded MatSci AI, an AI-services company for manufacturing industries, and interned with Google Research. Prior to graduate school, he completed his BTech courses from IIT Roorkee (India) in 3 years in 2017, and worked as a bioinformatician in Japan, a bureaucrat in India, and an algorithmic trader in Singapore.
