Who this is for

You are past wanting general principles. You have done the reading, you understand the basics, and now you want ninety focused minutes building the whole structure properly: the number, the assumptions behind it, how a layered corpus works and how each layer is sized, and how the thing behaves when markets don't cooperate in the first few years. Suited to anyone within ten years of retirement, or planning a significant change in how they earn. Also, this works better with a group and pricing and further discussed based on participation. ( a batch of 5 to 10 preferred and works best for this session).

What we cover

Building a corpus requirement end to end across a thirty-five to forty year horizon, then stress-testing it against a range of return and inflation assumptions rather than one optimistic pair. Why sequence of returns risk in the first five to seven years matters more than average returns across thirty, and what structure addresses it. How a layered or bucket approach is sized, what belongs in a stability layer and what does not — including several instruments that look conservative and aren't. Why a static structure is the common mistake, and how the design should change as income changes rather than being set once and forgotten. Where tax treatment shifts the answer, particularly during low-income years, and why the usual advice reverses in some situations. And the failure modes worth watching for, which in practice are behavioural far more often than mathematical.

Every attendee receives the same generic worksheet to run their own figures afterwards. Live questions welcome throughout, answered at the level of method.
