Hi, I'm Simran Monga. I'm an award-winning designer, educator, and founder of Hieco Center for Design and Learning. Over the past decade, I've had the privilege of mentoring students, graduates and professionals through some of the biggest decisions in their education and careers. Many people come to me looking for help with portfolios, graduate school applications or career transitions. But I've found those are rarely the real questions. The real questions are: "What kind of designer do I want to become?" "What kind of impact do I want my work to have?" That's why I created Future by Design - a mentorship initiative that helps people discover their direction before making their next big decision. Whether you're exploring a Master's, considering a career pivot, building your portfolio or looking to align your work with your values, I'll help you navigate the journey with clarity and confidence. I meet you where you are in your career! Alongside mentoring, I've spent 10+ years working across design, sustainability, strategy, and creative education. I'm an alum of SCAD, Srishti Institute of Art, Design & Technology, and IIM Ahmedabad, and my work has been recognised with 20+ international design awards. I've also had the privilege of mentoring students who have gone on to receive offers from leading design schools around the world. I don't believe the goal of design education is simply to get into a great university. I believe it's to become the kind of designer the world needs and the kind of person you want to be.
