👨🏻‍💻 Hello, I’m Suvrat and I like to solve problems using data! ⚒ As a computer vision and machine learning professional at RIT, I am involved in object detection and recognition systems using YOLO algorithms and bring technical expertise in OpenCV to my role. With a background in data science, I am skilled in building and deploying machine learning systems using Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow. I utilize these cutting-edge technologies to extract insights and inform decision-making, leveraging deep learning algorithms to drive impact and progress in the industry. In my current role at RIT, I am dedicated to developing innovative solutions to complex problems, constantly exploring new ways to drive business outcomes and make a positive impact. 📊 I attained my Bachelor of Technology majoring in Electronics & Communication Engineering back in 2019. Through my working experiences in the Software & Marketing industries, I found myself naturally inclined towards data science through my passion for data-driven storytelling and statistics. I am fascinated by data, how it interacts and the behavior it represents and data analysis is a way to identify patterns, detect key problems among outliers and tell a valuable story to make a significant impact. That’s why in 2021, I decided to give in and made the switch to data science! 📚 To improve my knowledge and progress as a data scientist, I'm currently pursuing the Master of Science in Data Science (M.Sc.) from the Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, where I have developed skills in statistical analysis, computer programming, Computer Vision, deep learning modelling techniques, building & implementing machine learning models, and working with big data sets in a supercomputing environment. ✨ I rely on using Python to clean, analyze, visualize, and perform machine learning tasks on big data sets. Not to mention, I have prior experience in creating usable, responsive websites using HTML5/CSS3, Bootstrap, WordPress, that are nice to look at & easy to use.
