Mock Interview | High Level Design with Shubham Sachdeva

This session simulates a real High-Level Design (HLD) or System Design interview commonly conducted for SDE2, Senior Software Engineer, and Backend Engineer roles at product-based companies.

You'll be given a system design problem and asked to design a scalable distributed system while discussing requirements, architecture, trade-offs, scalability, reliability, and operational considerations.

During the session, I will evaluate:

• Requirement Gathering: Ability to clarify functional and non-functional requirements, constraints, and assumptions.
• System Decomposition: Breaking down the problem into components and designing a cohesive system architecture.
• API & Data Model Design: Defining interfaces, data structures, and data models that support the system's requirements.

• Reliability & Observability: Addressing fault tolerance, failure scenarios, monitoring, and system health.
• Trade-off Analysis: Evaluating architectural choices and justifying decisions based on requirements.
• Communication & Interview Structure: Presenting ideas clearly, structuring the discussion, and adapting to follow-up questions.
