I’m a Bioinformatician turned AI Engineer, currently working on AI projects in the life science industry. My journey into AI has been anything but linear. I started with a BSc in Physics, moved into bioinformatics and life sciences, and eventually transitioned into AI/ML. Having made this transition myself, I understand the challenges of figuring out what to learn, which roles to target, how to build relevant projects, and how to position a non-traditional background for AI opportunities. Today, I work on applying AI to real-world problems in pharma and life sciences, bringing together domain knowledge with AI/ML to build practical solutions. Through my 1:1 sessions, I want to help students and early-career professionals from physics, biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, life sciences, and other related backgrounds navigate their own transition into AI — whether that's choosing the right career path, identifying skills and courses to focus on, improving their resume, preparing for interviews, or figuring out which roles to target.
