As an SDE 3 at Oracle,I work in the optimizer team to improve the performance of a heavily loaded, multithreaded and virtually distributed system using C/C++, data structures, algorithms, and SQL. I designed a discrete model to collect statistics on a table and determine the best join method for tables with less than 1000 rows, reducing CPU cycles by 3%. I am also working on optimizing the NOS functionality to enable easy data access from an S3 compliant cloud store for multi-statement queries. I have Four years of industry experience as a backend developer, having previously worked at Radisys Corporation, where I built an automated system that changes the aggregation level in cases of bandwidth drops to maintain the channel quality and handle exceptions. I also built automation tools for checking the status of build servers and user equipment. I have a strong coding and development background, with skills in operating systems, git, agile, Jira, Linux, GDB, shell scripting, docker, klockwork, and valgrind. I hold a M-tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from NIT Rourkela, where I worked on a console-based project for better supply chain management using file handling.
