I invest in and assist early-stage companies at Aureolis Ventures, an early-stage investment firm based in India. I have fun building out the firm from scratch and am involved in almost all the activities you can imagine! Some of the companies I am directly involved with include DrinkPrime, Climes.io, and Impossible Metals. I was recognized on the Forbes Asia 30U30 list in the Finance and Venture Capital category in 2023. I am the founder of Women Who Build, the first-of-its-kind podcast, driven to inspire action amongst young women entrepreneurs who often fail to take the first step owing to the lack of role models. We have launched three seasons of podcasts with some of the most inspiring women leaders around the world who have shared tangible steps for launching scalable businesses and investment firms. My interest in investing has sprung from my experience of starting my own venture and working for some of the most impact-oriented startups around the world, participation in each of which has been influenced by my personal experiences. I have helped shape the women’s health space in India through andMe, where I launched and grew the pan-India digital business by 35x in the first 4 months and created awareness around women’s health when the topic was completely “unheard of” in India. During my work at Central Square Foundation and C3, I have sat in hundreds of classrooms across India and worked to improve learning outcomes together with the Govt. of India. My time as an operator has ingrained in me a sense of empathy, decision-making, failure and loss, and success that is rare to extract from anywhere else. I have also spent a considerable amount of time understanding large businesses and their management teams during my time at UBS Investment Bank in India and the US, where I led M&A and capital raising transactions >$1bn, sometimes being the only analyst on the team. I love being a generalist and learning from people, books, movies, and most importantly, from my 3 beautiful nieces.
