I am the Communications Head of one of the most reputed higher education institutes of the country, having previously worked as a writer and a development practitioner with Government agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations. I have successfully developed a robust social media and web presence for IRMA in less than two years. Major accomplishments during my tenure as the Communications Head have been the launch of a revamped website (www.irma.ac.in), introduction of the Institute to major social media platforms and an enriched SEO and SEM presence. I previously nurtured my hobby of writing and developed it as a profession, working across platforms and media writing on social issues, cinema and entertainment. The other end of my experience-spectrum as a planner and practitioner at the grassroots not only broadened the scope of my learning but also allowed me to be more receptive, adaptable to new ideas and cognizant of the ever-changing rural development based scenarios.
