About me

I am a dedicated and innovative Ph.D. candidate in Material Science at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, with a strong foundation in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. My research focuses on the development of ISFET-based pH, ion, and bio-sensors using electrochemistry, and the design and fabrication of IGZO-based TFTs. Prior to my doctoral studies, I served as a Process Engineer at Hindustan Zinc Limited, Udaipur, where I led 4 projects aimed at optimizing processes in the silver refinery and managing the operation of the ore dressing plant. My expertise lies in a wide range of fabrication and laboratory skills, including photolithography, high vacuum magnetron sputtering, material synthesis, and clean room protocols. I am proficient in analytical characterization techniques such as XPS, XRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, and ellipsometry, and have strong instrumentation skills. In addition to my technical skills, I bring to the table strong interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and Hindi, and experience in public speaking, anchoring, conference presentations, and product pitching. I also have experience in material and product procurement, bidding, and product specification & and compatibility analysis. On the IT front, I am skilled in software like Origin, Anaconda, Arduino IDE, Mendeley, MATLAB, and COMSOL Multiphysics. I have experience in managing web development, web hosting, and digital marketing, and am skilled in Python, with a focus on data analytics and machine learning. In addition to my academic and professional achievements, I have also taken on leadership roles in various initiatives. During the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, I led a self-help group at IIT Kanpur, where I created an unofficial 24*7 medicine delivery system. This system, which was set up with the help of food delivery agents and medical stores, provided crucial support during a challenging time and was recognized by IIT Kanpur. I served as the first Editor-in-chief of our departmental magazine, "TEJAS", at college, fostering a platform for knowledge exchange in Material Science and Metallurgy. As part of the 'Rays' team, we designed a prototype solar car that won the Indo-Asian Solar Challenge twice consecutively, showcasing our innovative thinking and technical skills. These experiences have enriched my leadership and teamwork skills, and instilled in me a readiness to embrace new challenges and contribute to innovative solutions.
