Hey, I'm Shiva, a 2nd year CS student at Scaler & BITS Pilani, and a GSoC 2026 selected contributor at CDLI, where I'm working on revamping their React Native mobile app. I'm an active open source contributor with 40+ merged PRs across CCExtractor, CDLI, JSON Schema, and AOSSIE. My work spans full-stack (React, TypeScript, Node.js, Go), testing (Jest, RTL), and DevOps (Docker, CI/CD). Beyond code, I help maintain the CDLI Slack channel, review PRs, and guide newcomers through their first contributions. Less than a year ago, I was exactly where most students are right now. I went from my first PR to a GSoC selection in under a year and I'd love to help others do the same.
