Help will always be given to those who ask for it! Hey everyone, I know pursuing an MBA can be challenging (believe me - I didn't sleep a wink before my placement interviews, and it took me three attempts to bell the CAT!); I understand that feeling of 'preparation is not adequate' and/or just needing some help or direction in getting your priorities sorted. Every MBA journey is unique, but learning from someone who has gone through the process (and made their fair share of mistakes!) can be incredibly beneficial. As a gold medalist from SPJIMR, with international exchange experience, national-level corporate competition wins, an internship at HUL, and currently working in Business Strategy at Sun mobility as well as prior experience in management consulting at Bain & Co., I'm confident that I can provide valuable guidance to all those who ask for it! Sun Mobility, co-founded by Chetan Maini, the visionary behind India's first EV car, Reva, is leading the charge in sustainable mobility through innovative EV battery swapping and energy solutions. Shikhar brings a wealth of experience to his role, having previously worked as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. During his time at Bain, he honed his expertise in business strategy development, corporate due diligence, and transformation initiatives. His analytical mindset and customer-centric approach have consistently delivered valuable insights to decision-making processes. Prior to that, Shikhar pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Marketing from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai. He earned the Gold Medal, for ranking first among the 238 candidates, as well as the Dean's Merit List , for excelling in academics, marketing specialization, and non-classroom learning courses. He also gained practical experience through an internship at Unilever (HUL) and an international exchange program at IESEG, France. During his MBA, he represented SPJIMR at renowned national corporate competitions and served as Vice-Captain of the Football team. Before his MBA, Shikhar contributed to SKF India for approximately three years, driving business development and successfully launching new product lines. His customer-centric approach and international collaboration led to the expansion of business into new markets. He also served as a mentor to Graduate Engineering Trainees during his tenure. Shikhar's journey began with a strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering from VIT University, Vellore. There, he showcased his technical and leadership skills as the Manufacturing Head of Team Anant, participating in ASME's all-India Human Powered Vehicle Competition. Outside his professional life, Shikhar is passionate about mentoring and giving back to the society. His diverse interests encompass macroeconomics, geopolitics, and emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and alternative energy solutions. When not working, he enjoys Badminton, Football, or a game of Age of Empires 2.
