I post about #softwareengineering and #productmanagement at #startups daily. I’ve been building technology for the last 11 years, and currently working as a Startup CTO. I am passionate about startups and enjoy collaborating with founders to turn their innovative business concepts into a market-ready product, assisting in their journey from a small operation to a scalable company. I’ve started two startups. One of them was an AI startup which was acquired by a Major Travel Company. When it comes to technology I’m “stack agnostic”, as I’ve worked with multiple stacks (Javascript, Java, Python, Ruby), cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Heroku) and tools. I regularly assess constraints and trade-offs to determine the optimal technology stack for each company's unique circumstances. Some of my duties as a Startup CTO: - Work closely with the company's founders to find out what the business's goals and priorities are. - Take charge of the tech roadmap and cost structure, and talk to the founders about balancing scope and cost. - Do your own hiring. I look for engineers, product managers, data scientists, etc., interview them, hire them, and get them started on my teams. - Handle the day-to-day delivery of technology, including defining features, managing engineers, and coordinating releases. - Talk to clients, partners, vendors, and investors as needed for due diligence, integrations, etc. - Lead compliance and security, usually high stakes in the Fintech space
