Short summary: IITian 2016 -> Graduated as a Branch changer with ECE major and CSE minor degree in 2020 -> Software Engineer II 2020 -> Software Engineer III 2022 Mentored college juniors, conducted resume review session, 1:1 counselling sessions for friends and peers, mentored 4 STEP interns, managed a cohort of 13 people across cross time zones and various job roles, took classes for Physics and Maths in college for juniors as part of student committee initiative, active volunteer of many NGOs. Long summary: Graduated from IIT Guwahati in 2020 with Btech major in Electronics and Communication Engineering and minor in Computer science. Was among the top 10% of the entire batch and was able to upgrade my branch from Chemical science to Electronics as major and Computer Science as minor. Joined Google straight after college in the year 2020, explored various frameworks, learnt entirely new flutter framework, created a web app from scratch using dart language and flutter framework, was granted dart language readability/expertise as per google standards. Expanded my skills to contribute to the backend java app framework, from designing and implementing the entire Microservice architecture to designing the Database schema. In my career path I gained a lot of skills and delivered features end to end from the serving to the client, contributed from the early life process of a feature and owned it end to end and saw it turned out to be a great product initiative. Contributed and experimented with analytics using SQL, worked on server side on Java app framework and gained expertise in dart language and flutter framework. Along with the growth in skillset I was promoted in the year 2022 from Software Engineer II to Software Engineer III. Apart from enhancing technical skills and domain knowledge, I took part in various Hackathons conducted along the themes of Generative AI and content recommendations and ended up securing the position of second runner ups among 20 other teams. As a cohort manager, facilitated multiple sessions to a team of 13 nooglers across different time zones and various job families/Roles. Helped them in navigating around and passed on the knowledge to the next generation of Googlers. As Intern advisor, mentored 4 step interns across different teams to get accustomed to the google work culture. As part of GoogleServe culture I was an active member of OneBlr unite and took part in various volunteering sessions for educating the young, underprivileged, mentally challenged kids. Visited multiple NGOs like International Justice Mission for human trafficking and specifically bonded labour trafficking , Snehadhara volunteering for interactive sessions with the mentally challenged kids suffering with autism and Agastya volunteering sessions to teach basic python classes to primary school kids.
