About me
I wear a few hats — and that's exactly what makes my perspective useful to you.
By training, I'm a dentist and a Master's in Medical Technology graduate from IIT Jodhpur & AIIMS Jodhpur — two institutions where admission is nationally competitive and reserved for the top 1% of applicants. I ranked 3rd across India to secure my place there. That foundation shaped how I think: rigorous science at the intersection of medicine and technology, from day one.
By research, I'm an AI scientist. I'm currently a PhD candidate at McGill University's Faculty of Dentistry, working on uncertainty quantification of large language models using Approximate Bayesian Computation — applied to real clinical problems in oral pathology and lesion diagnosis.
On the funding side, I'm an FRQ-S Fellowship holder (ranked 3rd provincially) and a CIHR CGS-D Scholar (ranked 29th out of 290 national applicants, top 5 percentile) — with a total of $233,417 CAD [₹ 16,339,190] in secured doctoral funding. I hold design patents and multiple publications, and have presented at venues including Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
Alongside my PhD, I'm the founder of AlveoAI (alveoai.ca), a dental AI platform I'm building from the ground up — which means I'm actively living what it means to be a clinician, researcher, and early-stage founder simultaneously.
I came to Canada as an international graduate, found my supervisor cold, navigated the funding landscape from scratch, and have lived through the FRQS and CIHR scholarship cycles firsthand. I know what the path actually looks like — not just what it says on university websites.
I can help you with:
🦷 Getting into a Canadian dental or health sciences PhD as an international applicant
🎓 Scholarship applications — CIHR CGS-D, FRQS, FRQNT (I've done them all, and ranked highly)
🤖 Breaking into AI/ML research from a clinical or engineering background
🧪 LLM fine-tuning, clinical NLP, and Bayesian uncertainty quantification
🚀 Building a health tech startup alongside your PhD
📄 Research proposals, SOPs, and supervisor outreach strategy
I don't do generic advice. Every session is specific to your situation, your background, and what you're actually trying to achieve.
