Study Agriculture in Germany | 1:1 Call
Honest advice on studying agriculture and living in Germany.
About me
## Hey, I'm Sharath! 🇮🇳🇩🇪
I'm an Indian student currently pursuing my Master's in International Farm Management at Hochschule Weihenstephan-Triesdorf (HSWT), Germany. With an academic background in Agriculture and a six-month internship at a German family farm, I've experienced agriculture both academically and practically.
I understand what agriculture looks like and feels like in reality—from working in the fields and handling crops, livestock (dairy)production, Poultry production, and understanding how agricultural products reach supermarkets.
### 🌱 Agriculture Studies & Opportunities
If you're planning to pursue a Master's in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Sciences, or related fields in Germany, I can share practical insights into university options, applications, academic life, and agricultural opportunities based on my experience and knowledge.
### 🇩🇪 The Ground Reality of Germany
There is plenty of information online about studying in Germany, but some important realities aren't always discussed.
I share honest, practical insights about:
- Agriculture-related Master's programmes and university selection
- Part-time jobs and the challenges of finding work
- Accommodation, living expenses, and student budgeting
- German bureaucracy, student registration, residence permits, and commonly required documents
- Navigating appointments, paperwork, and administrative processes as an international student
- University life, German culture, and everyday challenges
My goal is to help you understand what to expect beyond what you see online, so you can make more informed decisions before coming to Germany.
### 🤝 Networking & Student Community
I've also participated in STUBE seminars, which bring together students, particularly from the Global South, to discuss development-related topics, exchange perspectives, and build connections.
Through these experiences, I've learned the importance of networking, connecting with people from different backgrounds, and making the most of student communities. I'm happy to share tips on building connections and finding opportunities to engage with other students in Germany.
### 📩 Let's Connect!
If you're planning to study Agriculture in Germany or want a realistic perspective on international student life, I'm happy to share what I've learned so far and help you navigate questions that aren't always easy to answer through online research alone.
