On May 13, 2026, I bought my first car - at the age of 21, and before even graduating from university. For me, this was much more than just a car because that is something I have always been targeting and dreaming off. I always wanted to buy my own car before graduating from my university and Alhamdulillah, Allah made it possible. It wasn't easy - coming to university during the day and then to job at night but alhamdulillah I can proudly say that I made it! I don't usually post personal milestones on LinkedIn. In fact, this is my first post in almost 9 months. I've always preferred working quietly instead of documenting every step of the journey. But I realized it's equally important to share the lessons behind the milestones to help grow as a community [heart]. Over the past few years, Alhamdulillah, I have been blessed with opportunities I once only dreamed about at FAST: • 12+ Teaching Assistantships across multiple courses • President of the Voice Debating Society • Invited as a guest speaker • Dean's List in 5 out of 8 semesters • Internship at FAST School of Computing • Building Campus+, a student platform now assisting 2,000+ FASTians in their daily academic journey • Built lifelong friendships along the way • Bought my first car before graduation None of it came easily. There were days when I'd attend university in the morning, work at night, and survive on just 3–4 hours of sleep. It was exhausting, but every sacrifice was worth it. Those experiences eventually opened doors I never imagined. Today, Alhamdulillah, I'm leading a Data Engineering team, while continuing to build products on the side. Most importantly, I'm grateful to Allah for every blessing, every setback that became a lesson, and every person who supported me throughout this journey. I truly couldn't have done it alone. Going forward, I want to be more active here - not just to share achievements, but to document my journey of building products, leading teams, working in Data Engineering and AI, growing startups, and helping students navigate university and their careers. I would love to help students unlock opportunities I wish I had earlier, and inspire more young people to believe that with consistency, discipline, and faith, ambitious goals are achievable.
