About me

In 2019, I landed in the UK as an 18-year-old international student, with two suitcases, big ambitions. I was starting a Computer Science degree in a completely new country, with no technical background, no industry connections, and no clear idea of where the journey would take me. Fast forward a few years, I graduated from Cardiff University with First-Class Honours in Computer Science, landed a Software Engineering role at Microsoft, and later became a Founding AI Engineer at a London-based Legal AI startup, building AI Agents to make Lawyers 10x productive. Along the way, I went from writing my first lines of code to contributing to a software that impacted millions of people to building my own product, and earning a UK Global Talent endorsement in Digital Technology. But the journey was far from straightforward. I had to figure out university life, learn programming, navigate the UK job market, which is more competitive for international students, prepare for technical interviews, adapt to different engineering environments, have a competitive "edge" and make some pretty big career decisions along the way. And that's exactly why I'm here I'm not here to be another career coach handing out advice from the sidelines. I've been the international student starting from scratch, the graduate navigating the UK job market, and the engineer working my way into big tech and whether you're an international student wondering what's possible, a graduate trying to land your first UK tech job, or an engineer looking to break into AI, I want to share the tips, tricks and secrets from actually living through these experiences. I will give you the firsthand experience, advise, mentor, connect you with people, provide honest insights about yourself and your progress, and practical guidance every step of the way. Because I know what it's like to start from zero, and how much the right guidance can change your trajectory and realise your true potential.

Frequently asked questions

Can I study Computer Science in the UK and then find a tech job?

Yes, studying Computer Science can help you develop the skills and experience needed for UK tech roles, but a degree does not guarantee employment. I can share how I approached university, projects, skills development and graduate recruitment, and help you develop a mental model that will significantly improve your odds!

Is a UK Computer Science master's worth it for international students?

It depends on the university, course, total cost and career goal. I personally find university does not matter 80% of the time and 20% of the time, you can still standout if you have an edge in experience, projects, awards etc.

How did you get a software engineering job at Microsoft?

I secured an internship at Microsoft London office which I've then converted into a full-time role. AFAIK, I was the only person from my class of 2023 to have gotten into Microsoft as an intern and full-time employee. I can discuss tips to find an edge, engineering preparation and personal recruitment experience, and help you develop a preparation plan relevant to your target roles.

How can I find software engineering jobs in the UK from India?

Although, I studied in the UK. I actually worked from India for a while and had secured 2 offers from startups during that time. So, it is certainly possible. Start by identifying the roles that match your technical expertise if you have one, developing evidence of relevant skills by converting them into projects, and targeting suitable employers through official careers pages, recruiters (only some), Linkedin messaging. I can help with technical CV positioning and interview preparation.
