As the engineering leader at Rooser, I define the technical vision, strategy, and oversee its execution for our online seafood marketplace platform, connecting market players across the industry. I lead diverse engineering teams utilising agile methodologies and microservices architecture, to deliver top-tier, scalable, and reliable software solutions. I foster collaboration with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align the engineering roadmap with the business goals and user needs. In my previous roles, I have successfully managed and mentored engineering teams at Amazon and Topia, where I was responsible for hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management. I have also contributed to the design, development, and deployment of several web applications and services, using various technologies and tools, such as MySQL, Java, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker. I hold a master's degree in internet software systems and a bachelor's degree in computer science/software engineering from the University of Birmingham.
