Hi, I'm Sayan Mondal, an aspiring PhD researcher in Immunology and Cancer Biology completed my Master's in Zoology at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Over the past few years, I have gained research experience across molecular oncology, immunology, developmental genetics, and computational biology through projects at Banaras Hindu University, National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS Pune), and the University of Calcutta. I am a DST-INSPIRE Fellow, SRFP (IASc-INSA-NASI) Young Scientist Awardee, and co-author of peer-reviewed research publications. My research interests lie in T-cell biology, immunotherapy, inflammation, tumor microenvironment, and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). I have hands-on experience in molecular biology, western blotting, confocal microscopy (Including the ImageJ FIJI), cell culture, and bioinformatics. Through Topmate, I aim to mentor BSc and MSc students who are looking to: • Secure research internships and summer fellowships (SRFP, SURF, INSPIRE, etc.) • Build a strong academic and research profile • Learn essential laboratory and research skills • Prepare effective CVs, SOPs, and cold emails for professors • Explore career pathways in life sciences, research, and higher studies • Receive guidance for MSc, PhD, and research-oriented careers Having navigated these opportunities myself, I understand the challenges students face and strive to provide practical, actionable, and personalized guidance to help them achieve their academic and research goals.
