About me
Sarin Boivin Picard is currently a business executive, investor and independent consultant. After completing Le Wagon, he led a team of engineers as a Product Manager at Altitude-Sports.com, an e-commerce company based in Montreal. Before working in product management, he was part of the investment team at the Chagnon Foundation, Canada’s largest private foundation with over $2 billion in assets, overseeing a private equity portfolio.
Sarin currently serves on the board of directors of Hydro Quebec, one of Canada’s largest state-owned enterprises, where he sits on the Digital Technologies committee. Devoted to community engagement, he also sits on the board of the DevKey Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering women through entrepreneurship. His prior board experience includes affiliations with the University Club of Montreal, the LOJIQ Foundation, and the Georges Vanier Cultural Center.
An avid student of history and international relations, Sarin has served as a Reserve Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces (Royal Canadian Navy) and currently holds a position on the Steering Committee of the NATO Association of Canada. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School’s Emerging Leaders Program and a past delegate with the Young Diplomats of Canada.
Driven by a profound passion for education, Sarin was a Research Assistant to professor Pinar Ozcan at the University of Oxford, taught management at the University of Moncton and was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at IE Business School. Involved with his alma maters, he initiated the Boivin-Picard scholarship in Quebec City, with a central mission of nurturing leadership skills among young individuals, and is also a proud member of HEC Montreal’s Club des 100.
Sarin’s unwavering commitment to the arts is also evident through his active membership in philanthropic circles associated with the Théâtre du Rideau Vert, the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Montréal. For his community work, he was named a WEF Global Shaper and a fellow of the UK's Royal Society for the Arts.
Sarin holds a bachelor’s degree from HEC Montreal, a Master in Finance degree from IE Business School, and an MBA from the University of Oxford. Additionally, he holds the FSA credential, FRM and SIPC certifications, and is a candidate for the CFA designation.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, traveling (60+ countries) and discovering new cuisines.
