I am particularly interested in multicultural approaches to mental health care and have worked with diverse populations in mental health research. Gaining firsthand insights into the disparities faced by vulnerable groups has ignited my passion to improve mental health support systems, bridge the gap in services, and address shortcomings within the legal system, especially for marginalised communities facing limited resources, cultural stigmas, and/or social injustices. Currently, I work as a Research Coordinator for the ABC-DS, TRC-DS, and Horizon 21 studies at the University of Cambridge. Through my research and clinical practice, I’ve honed my skills in understanding psychological disorders among varying populations, developing a keen interest in the ever-evolving landscape of mental health. Having lived in both Malaysia and the UK, as well as with my involvement in coordinating international research studies and engaging with a rich tapestry of individuals across a spectrum of ages, genders, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds, I recognise cross-cultural differences and seek to explore their impacts on therapeutic efficacy. When I’m not on the job, I enjoy thought-provoking challenges and have a deep interest in true crime, as well as exploring my artistic endeavours and indulging my love for seeing new places.
