*I'm on sabbatical until July.* I help companies manage data by architecting and engineering, for current and future scale. Experienced in distributed and centralised design, scalability, integration, data and system migrations, processing complex 'dirty' data, multiple data technologies, application and platform design, leading technical projects and training & coaching. Besides my full time work, I've assisted multiple companies with hiring engineering staff, running system design reviews, often through accelerator programs or networks like Women in Data, but now do more direct engagements. I'm used to learning new languages and tools - I prefer to choose the right tool for the job and learn to use it than just use what I already know. This has lead to me experiencing the use of multiple tools in my work which has proved highly valuable when choosing technologies and starting in new environments. I ❤️ Data :D It allows me to get to know multiple people from across the business, be highly engaged in most of the products and understand how information flows through the whole environment which makes the work very interesting to me. I really like to understand the bigger picture. My T shape is deep in software & data skills and broad in team, process and project management. I value community and love teaching & learning from others. I have run numerous workshops since 2015 (Learn to code, Swift, Test Driven Design/Development (TDD), Get Into Speaking).
