I am grateful for the support I received from Sarah. She has a remarkable ability to listen, understand, and provide thoughtful perspectives that impacted the way I view the world.
Hello! :))
I am a UGC NET Qualified Counseling Psychologist with a Master’s of Science in Counseling Psychology from IIPR, Bengaluru and a Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from St. Xavier's, Mumbai. As a trauma-informed and queer-affirmative practitioner, I bring empathy, creativity, and critical thinking into my work with clients across diverse backgrounds. I also founded SarahTalksPsychology, a platform where I simplify therapy and psychological concepts to make them more accessible.
Over the years, I’ve gained experience working with adolescents, teenagers, couples, and families, addressing concerns such as academic stress, self-esteem and body image, family and relationship challenges, sexuality, addictions (substance, porn, and internet), workplace concerns, and career development. I’m trained in therapeutic approaches like REBT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Family & Couples Therapy. Alongside clinical work, I’ve also taught children above the age of ten and worked closely with school students from grades 9 to 12.
My professional journey has included roles as a Career Counselor at Riarpro Learning Solutions, a Freelance Therapist with Feel Fuzzy, and a Counselor at Silver Oak Health, alongside building my private counseling practice since 2023. I also gained valuable experience as an Assistant Psychologist at The Manasu Project, a Teacher Trainer & Social Media Intern at Giftolexia, and even worked as an English Teacher at Clapingo for two years. My career began with volunteer work at Kindness Unlimited and Urja Trust, where I supported communities in need.
To strengthen my expertise, I pursued certifications including Trauma-Informed Training (2025), Courses on Substance, Porn & Internet Addiction, Couples Therapy, and Working with Children (MindPeers, 2025), and a Personal Counseling Course (St. Xavier’s, 2022). In June 2025, I cleared the UGC NET, qualifying me for positions as Assistant Professor and PhD pursuits.
Beyond counseling, I express myself through writing. I am an Amazon Bestselling Author (Ava Burke, 2018) and have contributed to anthologies.
At the heart of my work are my core values and skills: empathy, interpersonal connection, leadership, and conflict resolution.
