About me
My innate curiosity and love of learning has made my career-path an unusual one. I started off as a part of the rat race with a drive to make my parents proud. Within no time I felt quite stifled behind a desk and realized that the only true currency for my life force is to follow my own interests and innate skill sets.
My own initial lack of clarity and self belief, during my schooling years, led me on a mission to empower children. I wanted to catch them young and fortify their self belief. This initiated the preschool journey of 10 years. Each year my class would begin with the children refusing to let go of their mom's hand but would end with them performing on stage and in events with their energies boldly saying "This is ME". It was an immensely satisfying journey , where each year I would closely watch a set of 100 children bloom ....each one with a uniquely different essence. It was magnificent to watch the way their minds worked. This curiosity of the mind, led me to pursue Masters in Psychology.
With the onset of covid, the world also experienced a mass outbreak of Fear. We teachers did not have time to understand the gravity of the pandemic as we were too busy learning new methods and technology to cater to our students. It was also then that teachers were instructed to personally connect with the parents of students ,to ensure smooth academic delivery. In these conversations I found myself extending the space of empathy and self belief to adults as well. I was a good listener and found that very often that was enough to lift the clouds of confusion. This experience was just short of transformation. This self enquiry to better my service set me off on a search once again
Once again I felt the restlessness of wanting to try something new. I found myself being pulled towards coaching. Coaching with the gold standards of ICF gave me the right framework to better my service to clients. Further, client feedbacks have reinforced my belief in this career choice. So at the young age of 45, here I am excited, eager and curious to continue my journey of uncovering clarity and potential in a different age group ...this time adults!!
