About me

Sanya Khurana is a technologist, author, and advocate dedicated to leveraging innovation for social impact. As the Co-Founder of PoetCraft, she has combined her expertise in technology with her passion for poetry to create an app that gamifies the learning of meter. PoetCraft aims to make the intricacies of poetry accessible and engaging for both new and seasoned poets, reflecting Sanya’s belief that technology can be a powerful tool for education. Sanya’s career began at Adobe, where she worked as a software developer on the Adobe Sign team. In this role, she developed infrastructure provisioning tools for Microsoft Azure, significantly enhancing Adobe’s service capabilities. Her experience at Adobe, particularly the mentorship and leadership opportunities, deeply influenced her approach to both technology and advocacy. In 2014, inspired by Sheryl Sandberg’s “Lean In,” Sanya founded Lean In India, a network that supports and empowers women through peer mentoring and networking. Under her leadership, Lean In India has grown into a dynamic community that helps women across the country overcome societal barriers and achieve their professional and personal goals. Sanya is also an accomplished author. Her books, “One Action – Towards Women’s Dreams and Ambitions” and “Dark Clouds: A Poetic Journey Through Depression,” explore critical themes such as gender, societal expectations, and personal resilience. Through her writing, she provides insights into the challenges women face and the paths they can take toward personal and professional growth. In addition to her work in technology and writing, Sanya is a musician specializing in Hindustani classical music. Her music has been featured in videos like “Kanha Re” and “Brand Wargi,” showcasing her commitment to cultural heritage and artistic expression. Sanya is driven by the belief that technology can be harnessed for social good. Her ongoing goal is to develop solutions that address both technological and societal challenges, empowering individuals to reach their full potential. She is always open to connecting and discussing tech innovations, women’s empowerment, or the intersection of art and technology.
