I am a Ph.D. researcher in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay, supported by the TCS Research Fellowship. My research focuses on developing AI and NLP technologies for extremely low-resource languages, with particular interests in machine translation, automatic speech recognition, multilingual language models, and efficient adaptation of large language models. As part of my Ph.D., I was a Visiting Research Student at the University of Sheffield, UK, where I collaborated on multilingual NLP research and worked on advancing language technologies for low-resource languages. My work has been published at leading NLP venues, including ACL, and focuses on bridging the digital divide by building robust and practical AI systems for underrepresented languages. My research interests span multilingual learning, collaborative decoding, uncertainty-aware speech recognition, large language models, and efficient adaptation techniques for low-resource settings. Before beginning my doctoral research, I worked as a Senior Engineer at LG Soft India, contributing to AI-driven research and product development. Earlier, I gained industry experience as an AI/ML Trainee at L&T Technology Services and as a BI Analyst at LimeRoad. I completed my M.Tech. in Statistical Computing with a specialization in Data Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
