I am a business and solutions-oriented attorney with extensive experience in providing the leadership of various high-tech organizations with sound, practical and operational advice. I quickly become a trusted advisor because I ensure that my legal advice fits within the business vs. having the business fit within my legal advice. My goal is to help the organization achieve its objectives in a common sense way within aggressive timelines while balancing risk. I have been working as legal counsel in UAE since 2018 (PQE 5+), most recently as Head, Legal Affairs Section with Augmented Era (Group of Companies) Dubai, reporting to the CEO, where I lead the legal department. I am responsible for providing guidance on corporate governance, negotiating and drafting contracts, risk management, and developing plans and policies. I am also tasked with ensuring that the legal department – staff and resources – are managed effectively. I draft and advise on technology contracts, FinTech, data protection, incorporation and restructuring, compliance and emerging technologies.
