About me

Hi, I’m Sanaa Batra — a psychologist by training, a career compass by passion. With a Master’s in Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Guidance and Counselling, I help students and young adults untangle career confusion, silence the noise of “what ifs,” and map out a path that fits not just their resume, but their personality too. Think of me as your guide when Google isn’t cutting it and everyone’s giving advice — except the kind that actually helps. My journey in psychology began with a deep curiosity about human behavior and decision-making, which eventually evolved into a professional commitment to guiding individuals through some of the most pivotal points in their lives, particularly when it comes to making career and academic choices. Whether you’re feeling stuck, confused between multiple options, facing pressure to choose a “safe” path, or simply unsure about what direction aligns with your personality and values, I’m here to support you through that process. My training is rooted in evidence-based therapeutic models, including CBT, SFBT, and Mindfulness-Based Approaches, all of which I integrate into my mentorship sessions. These approaches don’t just help with emotional regulation; they also enhance decision-making skills, self-awareness, and confidence, essential tools when facing career crossroads. Professionally, I’ve had the privilege of working across a range of settings — including schools, clinics, private practice, and digital platforms. I’ve conducted one-on-one counselling sessions, administered psychological assessments, and delivered workshops on issues like academic stress, career anxiety, neurodiversity, and learning difficulties. During my time at Prudence School and Chaitanya Centre for Counselling, I helped students identify their strengths, interests, and challenges, often through tools like interest profilers, anxiety/depression inventories, and structured guidance modules. In addition to my clinical and counselling roles, I’ve also led psychoeducational content initiatives and mental health outreach on social platforms. I believe that career guidance isn't just about picking a profession — it's about understanding your internal drivers, dealing with external expectations, and making decisions that are aligned with your personal goals and emotional well-being. What sets my approach apart is the combination of structure and empathy. Our sessions will be warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative, but also focused and goal-oriented. We’ll work together to break down your concerns, explore your options using psychological frameworks, and build a realistic action plan — whether that’s applying to a new program, changing career direction, managing fear of failure, or simply figuring out where to begin. So if you're at a crossroads or just looking for someone to talk to who understands both the emotional and practical sides of decision-making, I’m here for you. Let’s work together to turn confusion into clarity and doubt into direction.
