Marriage Counselling Consultation
With Sameera Sachdev | Win Over Mind
Some couples look functional from the outside.
They manage work, family, children, social expectations, responsibilities, and daily life.
But privately, the relationship may be carrying distance, resentment, repeated conflict, emotional shutdown, family pressure, trust concerns, or years of things that were never fully repaired.
This counselling space is for couples who want to understand what is happening beneath the conflict — not just who is right, who is wrong, or who should change first.
My work focuses on the hidden emotional patterns that shape relationships: communication breakdowns, attachment needs, resentment, repair attempts, emotional safety, family-of-origin patterns, cultural expectations, grief, betrayal, identity changes, and the invisible strain people carry inside marriage.

First Session Structure
The first session will be held individually with the wife, as she has initiated the help-seeking process.
This first session is an intake session. It helps me understand the relationship history, current concerns, emotional strain, repeated patterns, and what support is being sought.
This does not mean I am taking sides.
It simply means the counselling process begins with the person who reached out first, before assessing whether and how couples sessions can begin ethically and safely.
After the First Session
If couples counselling is appropriate, future sessions may include both partners.
The work may focus on:
Communication patterns
Repeated conflict cycles
Emotional distance
Trust and resentment
Family and cultural pressure
Attachment and safety
Repair after hurt
Decision-making in the relationship
Rebuilding emotional connection
Understanding what each partner is carrying privately
Who This Is For
This may be suitable for couples experiencing:
Frequent arguments
Emotional distance
Unresolved resentment
Trust concerns
Family interference
Life transition stress
Cultural or NRI marriage pressures
Communication breakdown
Feeling unseen or misunderstood in the relationship
Difficulty repairing after conflict
Important Note
Marriage counselling is not about blaming one partner or forcing a decision.
It is a structured psychological space to understand the relationship pattern, assess emotional safety, and support healthier communication, repair, clarity, and responsibility.
Where there is active violence, coercion, severe safety risk, or ongoing intimidation, individual support or specialist safety planning may be more appropriate before couples counselling.
Book a Session
Please book the first session only if you are ready for a reflective, honest, and respectful counselling process.
The first session will begin with individual intake, followed by recommendations for the next steps.
