I’m Saksham, a CS & Data Science student at the University of Sydney who genuinely enjoys learning by doing. I like starting from first principles, building things from scratch, and understanding why something works instead of just following tutorials. I’ve explored tech through projects, hackathons, and student communities, which helped me realize how overwhelming the early stages can feel. Through conversations, I try to help students get unstuck, focus on the right fundamentals, and make sense of tech and college decisions without unnecessary pressure. I’m especially happy to talk about starting out in CS, choosing what to focus on early, beginner-friendly projects, hackathons, navigating college choices as an international student, and getting guidance on college admissions and applications.
