I currently work as a Research Scientist in the field of Biotechnology. But I have been considering transitioning to Scientific writing for a few months now. I have spent some time researching about scientific writing but I had been unclear about where to start to make this transition. I came across Saili’s profile and the call with her was very helpful. I gained a great understanding of Science writing as a career and my potential options. Saili even sent me some resources that I can use to kickstart this transition.
Very recently (almost 1 year) I shifted to the medical writing field. Because of having a small kid at home, I urgently want to explore freelance medical writing opportunities. Having a Chemistry background, I did a few online courses and studied a lot to develop my clear concept on medical writing. However, I have lots of doubts about how I can start freelancing and get contracts for medical writing from clients. Saily herself is a freelance medical writer and she shared her insights with me on how I can approach clients and companies for projects. I believe that these tricks will work as she shared from her own experience. She is very humble to help. I am feeling very much optimistic about my future freelance career after having the discussion with her.
