Hello! I'm Sahir Sharma, a Ph.D. student from Ireland in Extended Reality (XR), with a multifaceted background as an engineer, consultant, lecturer, instructional designer, and policymaker. My passion lies in leveraging XR technologies to drive innovation and to create impactful solutions. Currently, my research focuses on integrating Virtual and Mixed Reality into manufacturing processes, making design reviews easier for mechanical engineers. I have collaborated with Boston Scientific in Galway to streamline design prototyping and ergonomic testing using XR. With extensive experience in academia, I have taught at the University of Limerick and hold a Master's in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin. My professional journey includes developing pedagogical programs, freelancing in game development, XR app development, web app development across various domains. I am relied upon for brainstorming by some of my close friends who have roles like CTOs and VCs, where I advise them on rapid prototyping, immersive technologies, software development and general program development.
