With over ten years of experience in the environmental sector, I am dedicated to creating sustainable solutions for personal and home care. As the founder and CEO of Bare Necessities, India’s first B Corp certified consumer brand, I aim to empower consumers to make conscious choices that benefit both them and the planet. I hold a Master's degree in Environmental Economics and Law from the University of Cambridge and have completed social entrepreneurship programs at INSEAD. My diverse experiences from living and working in different countries and cultures bring a unique perspective to my team. At Bare Necessities, I lead the vision, strategy, and operations of the company. We offer a range of products that are organic, locally sourced, ethically produced, and packaged in recyclable materials. Additionally, I write, speak, and advocate for low-waste living, and I have authored the book 'Bare Necessities – How to Lead a Zero-Waste Life,' published by Penguin Random House. My work has been featured in various media outlets, including Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, Elle, Verve, and Femina. I have received numerous recognitions, such as being named one of the Top 10 Forces of Nature in India by Vogue India, and I have been honored with the Cartier Young Leader Award in 2022, the Acumen Fellowship in 2023, and the Global Good Fund Fellowship in 2024. I am also a TEDx speaker and LEED GA certified. Beyond Bare Necessities, I have conducted research, community outreach, and policy analysis on environmental issues such as clean energy, climate change, and environmental justice.
