I highly recommend Sahdev as a mentor. His expertise and guidance have undoubtedly accelerated my understanding and application of Terraform in real-world scenarios. 🌐
I’m working as a Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters, where I contribute to backend development, cloud engineering, and DevOps work across our data platform. Over the past months, I’ve built and enhanced multiple ingestion features, improved existing workflows, and helped make our pipelines faster, more reliable, and easier to maintain. I work heavily on Python-based backend logic, AWS services, and automation, and I keep improving our ingestion infrastructure.
I’ve delivered several improvements across the platform — from fixing broken ingestion flows, improving file-based connectors, and enhancing our Fivetran onboarding process, to building small but important backend components that power our data movement. I’ve also taken ownership of infrastructure tasks, including creating Terraform configs, managing CI/CD pipelines, and participating in the migration of applications from EC2 to ECS where I created Dockerfiles, validated deployments, and ensured services run smoothly after the shift.
I regularly handle production issues, debug problems across AWS, Snowflake, and backend logic, and provide quick resolutions so internal users don’t face disruptions. I take responsibility for whatever feature or workflow I own — whether it’s improving an API integration, optimizing a Step Functions pipeline, or fixing issues in Lambda code. Along the way, I’ve also contributed to governance and consumption layers by helping teams access the right data and ensuring our products follow platform standards.
I come from a Tier-3 background, so most of my skills have come from hands-on learning and consistent effort. I’m always working on becoming better at Python, SQL, Snowflake, DevOps tools, and cloud architecture, and I’m preparing myself to grow into a strong backend + Cloud Data engineer ready for high-impact roles in top product companies.
